Multi-Cultural Rites of Passage for teenage boys @ Nowanup | Boxwood Hill | Western Australia | Australia

In Nature, with Community, for Community

Led by Noongar Elder Eugene Eades and leaders from Rites Together

Inaugural Camp

Nowanup and Pallinup River and estuary

You are invited to participate as a family in a multicultural rites of passage walk on country camp with a focus on, but not limited to, teenage boys.

There is a strong emphasis on connecting with the land through Noongar culture and rites of passage activities in a modern context.

It is a men and boys camp but there is a strong focus on the changing role of mothers, grandmothers and women in boys lives as they mature and with leaving and return ceremonies.

The camp will leave from and return to Nowanup at Boxwood Hills in the Bremer Bay region east of Albany.

Travel will be by bus from Perth. Participants will also travel from other locations.
